NETGEAR INTRODUCES EXPANDED 4G LTE PRODUCT LINE, INCLUDING 4G LTE ADVANCED MOBILE HOTSPOT

Highlights of IBC trade show booth include Category 6-capable LTE Advanced mobile hotspot, 4G LTE gateway with voice support, and cradles for transforming AirCard mobile hotspots into LTE Gateways

SAN JOSE, California — September 9, 2014 — NETGEAR®, Inc. At the show, NETGEAR will introduce its first LTE Category 6-capable hotspot using carrier aggregation technology to support 4G LTE Advanced, the next evolution in 4G mobile networking. At IBC, NETGEAR will spotlight several new or recently launched 4G LTE solutions, including AirCard® mobile hotspots, AirCard hotspot cradles, and a new gateway. These products offer an ideal connectivity solution for mobile workers and families on the go, as well as people who re-locate frequently or have difficulty getting traditional broadband at their locations — temporary workplaces, student housing, seasonal homes, etc. 4G LTE solutions are especially appropriate for people or businesses in remote areas with limited access to fixed infrastructure, and for small businesses needing a failover solution for 24/7 connectivity.

AirCard 790S Mobile Hotspot (AC790S)

This newest AirCard device is NETGEAR’s first Category 6-capable LTE mobile hotspot to support 4G LTE Advanced network technology. The AirCard 790S leverages carrier aggregation technology to aggregate up to 40 MHz of bandwidth along with 802.11ac WiFi with simultaneous dual-band WiFi for the greatest range (2.4GHz) and performance (5GHz) to deliver blazing fast speeds.

For mobile professionals and consumers who enjoy using the newest, most innovative technology, the AirCard 790S mobile hotspot integrates simplicity, usability, and reliability with exceptional features, making it one of the best mobile companions for a busy on-the-go lifestyle. This lightweight, pocket-sized, portable hotspot supports up to 15 WiFi-enabled devices simultaneously. It features an intuitive user interface, and with the ability to automatically switch between 3G and 4G, it enables you to stay continuously connected anytime, anywhere.

LTE Gateway 2210 with Voice (LG2210)

This new NETGEAR product combines a modem and router into a single-box solution for wireless voice and data connectivity over the 4G LTE network. It offers the ideal wireless telephone and Internet solution for a home, small office, or vacation destination, supporting 4G LTE connectivity with 3G fallback. Using a mobile broadband connection, the LTE Gateway 2210 provides voice service to ordinary landline phones while simultaneously sharing a data connection with multiple WiFi and Ethernet-enabled devices. The LG2210 offers 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) WiFi for the ultimate in flexibility and performance. AirCard 785S 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot (AC785S)

The AirCard 785S mobile hotspot with 4G LTE/3G/2G support (www.netgear.com/ac785) is ideal for parents, telecommuters, small business entrepreneurs, temporary work sites, or anyone who wants reliable Internet access almost anywhere they go. With the AirCard 785S, up to 15 laptops, tablets, smartphones, digital cameras, gaming consoles, or other WiFi-enabled devices can easily and securely connect on-the-go to the built-in 802.11b/g/n wireless access point and share a single mobile broadband connection. The 4.5 cm (1.77 inch) color LCD screen of the AirCard 785S displays real-time information for monitoring the connected WiFi devices, battery life, network name, data usage, and more, making this compact, lightweight hotspot simple to navigate and easy to set up. It also offers the security and guest access features needed to maintain a private and worry-free Internet connection.

AirCard Smart Cradle (DC112A)

The new AirCard Smart Cradle enables you to transform a NETGEAR AirCard mobile WiFi hotspot device into a powerful LTE Home Gateway by combining the benefits of a home router and a WiFi signal booster. It will maximize the power of your mobile WiFi network by extending the WiFi range and performance you need for your home or office. It also makes the mobile hotspot an excellent, flexible networking option for students, seasonal workers, or others who may frequently change workplaces or residences. It’s ideal for small businesses, mobile professionals, and families who rely on 4G for broadband and need to connect both wireless and wired devices to the network. It offers multiple Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports to provide tethered Internet connectivity from your mobile hotspot for your home or office desktop computer, laptop, printer, media server, network attached storage (NAS), or any other Ethernet-enabled device.

The Smart Cradle offers 802.11ac dual-band and dual-concurrent WiFi (DBDC) for improved performance and reduced interference, as well as built-in 3G/4G Wireless WAN antennas to significantly boost signals and extend coverage indoors and in areas with low signal strength. Its capabilities are increased with two external high-gain WiFi antennas to extend WiFi range, along with two TS9 connectors for optional 4G/3G antennas.

AirCard 4G LTE Boosting Cradle with Ethernet (DC113A)

The AirCard Boosting Cradle (www.netgear.com/DC113A) is a convenient place to dock your NETGEAR AirCard mobile WiFi hotspot for charging. It has built-in MIMO antennas to boost your LTE signal for faster speeds and for more flexible indoor placement options. The cradle is also equipped with?one Gigabit Ethernet port to provide Internet connectivity from your mobile hotspot to any Ethernet-enabled device, such as an existing router.

Both the AirCard Smart Cradle (DC112A) and the AirCard Boosting Cradle (DC113A) are compatible with the AirCard 785S and the AirCard 790S, as well as being forward-compatible with future NETGEAR AirCard Mobile Hotspots.
